Federal Wi-Fi E-Rate Proposal

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) recently proposed allowing libraries and schools to provide Wi-Fi hotspots and wireless internet services to students and educators through the federal E-Rate program. ACSA and other partners wrote in strong support of the proposal, citing the need to modernize the E-Rate program and more easily provide Internet home access to students currently without it.

If you are an ACSA member interested in signing onto the letter of support, please download the following link as a Word document, sign it and submit via the FCC e-filing website here.
