The California Department of Education has released a toolkit for schools to celebrate and highlight California’s 175th anniversary of statehood and the United States’ 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence this summer. The toolkit is meant to help schools emphasize “ingenuity and innovation, resilience, joy and sense of belonging while encouraging youth civic literacy and engagement.”
