ACSA and the California School Board Association sent a joint letter July 3 to California Senator Alex Padilla urging his assistance in releasing $6.9 billion in funding for six critical education programs already allotted for fiscal year 2025. On July 25, the administration announced the release of the remaining funds it had withheld.
The impacted programs included Migrant Education State Grants and English Language Acquisition Grants.
