ACSA HRC Discussion on AB 438 (Classified March 15 Notices)

ACSA’s Human Resource Council invited all HR Administrators and Superintendents to a special Zoom meeting on the implementation of AB 438 (Reyes). AB 438 requires most permanent classified employees receive a March 15th lay-off notice instead of the current 60-day notice.

Jordan Bilbeisi, Partner, and Laura Preston, Director of Government Affairs, with Fagen Friedman and Fulfrost (F3 Law) provided a practical overview of the bill’s provisions and potential impact to LEAs and answered questions from the audience.
