ACSA Equity: Roses in Concrete

The Roses In Concrete School was opened as a lab school in Oakland Unified School District in direct response to the needs of the community. It was established through a collective vision with the community and educators and designed to address equity gaps in the school system through research-based strategies. ACSA, in conjunction with its equity partners, is proud to offer a unique professional development experience designed to build the capacity to lead for equity. We have designed a rich program for district teams and individual educators from all educational levels to empower educators to be proactive and responsive to the diverse needs of the communities they serve.
