Seventy-five percent of districts identified for differentiated assistance are not making progress for students with disabilities in the area of academics, suspension/expulsion and/or graduation rates. Data shows we have not delivered on the educational promise for all students. This session provides updates to California’s structure for differentiated assistance in special education and how districts can access resources, support and assistance as well as ACSA sponsored networks of support and coordinated discussions with respected practitioners. Audience will be asked to share challenges and needs in providing a coordinated, coherent, educational system for all students at all levels.
