Association of California School Administrators COMMITTEE/COUNCIL ACTIVITY PROJECT DESIGN PROCESS ‐ SPECIAL FUNDING REQUESTS Activity Design Process The activity design process is used for state committees/councils to obtain additional funding that exceeds the normal operating expenses budgeted for committees/councils each fiscal year. This additional funding is available to committees/councils for special projects and/or activities. Each fiscal year money is budgeted for activities. In completing the additional funding request, please be specific under each category listed. The Board of Directors will review the request and approve or decline it. Committee/Council Activity Project Design Form ‐ Special Funding A committee/council activity project design form must be completed and submitted to ACSA's executive associate when a committee/council wishes to request special funding for a particular activity. In filling out the activity project design form, it is advisable to relate your proposed project to: • Your committee's/council's stated purpose • ACSA's mission • The legislative platform adopted by the leadership assembly. (The above mentioned items are all included in this manual.) If the project is a multi‐year project (example: preparing a publication), estimates of funding needed in subsequent years must be included with the initial proposal. 117
