April 26, 2017
In this roundtable discussion, ACSA Equity Partners sat down with ACSA Diversity and Equal Access Executive Nicole Anderson to tackle issues related to the challenges that educational leaders face in closing educational gaps. These gaps include the achievement, opportunity, access, service, acknowledgement, and consciousness gaps. Dr. Erick Witherspoon-National Director of Equity, Generation Ready, Marcie O. Brown- CEO, O. Brown and Associates, and Tovi Scruggs-Regional Executive Director-Bay Area, Partners In School Innovation, share best practices to close these gaps and provide support to educational leaders in the field. The Association of California School Administrators is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the United States, serving more than 17,000 California educators. ACSA's top priority is advocating for public school students in kindergarten through grade 12, as well as adult learners. Our mission is to be the driving force of education in California and beyond. “We serve educational leaders in the pursuit of equity and excellence to meet the diverse needs of all California students.”
