Connecting with Our Students: Experience, Context and Perspective

This workshop will utilize the framework of the Experience, Context, & Perspective model and the Cultural Competence Continuum to explore ways to better connect with and serve students. Through the application of experiential activities, participants will share their lived experiences in the classroom, workspace, and personal life in order to develop their own competency to work with diverse students. Participants will leave with attainable action steps to help students understand the power of overcoming their own internal and external challenges in order to empower them to strengthen their authentic voice.
